Who we are

Carla

Carla Rotini

FIFe International Judge for categories 1 and 2.

She can't live without cats, first with the neighborhood cross-breed and then, since 2008, with the Maine Coons, her  life is strewn with cat hair.

The decision to breed depends on the passion for kittens, the joy of seeing them born, grow and develop the magic of their being felines to the last hair: after the first litter it is impossible to think of not having any more. So the adventure begins and at the third litter they ask (in the meantime the husband has also become a cat lover) for the affix Hic Sunt Leones and begin to attend the Feline Exhibitions.

The experience as an exhibitor is combined with the one as a Steward and the idea of embarking on the path to become a FIFe Judge begins to mature. The dream comes true in 2017 with category 2, then in 2019 with category 1. Continue to study and attend the Pawpeds G1 and G2 courses. But the passion is always for breeding, for its big cats and for its litters.

Passion is irrational, it has no logical reasons, but passions are also nourished by rationality. Just as Physics and Astronomy were the passions of adolescence that I still carry with me, even the passion for Maine Coons, albeit later, feeds on rational irrationality. There can be no rationality in front of the looks of these wonderful beings, with that innate royalty that leads them to be elegant in all their behavior, but there is a lot of rationality in studying and learning day by day how to better satisfy their needs, both nutritional and medical and behavioral.

With the Maine Coons you never stop learning, and they never cease to amaze. Then having an adventure partner like Carla helps a lot, the comparisons are sometimes heated, but the direction we have taken has almost always led us to improve the type and character of our children.

Magic was born in 2008, and its fire still does not go out even after so many years of sacrifices. In fact it is Passion, and passion does not die so easily.

The Cattery

Here are the lions (Hic Sunt Leones) is the idea on which we built the cattery. Our cats all live together choosing the place to spend their days, between the garden (protected from intrusions and escapes), the "human" area, and the cat area. On the upper floors, there are  nurseries and areas reserved for all the different and possible needs. Games in wood and natural materials, trees to climb on, healthy food and country air! All to ensure healthy growth and robust health, to give adults a great serenity and to kittens an extremely sociable character, for which the families who have become their life companions thank us.
